Abstract

Fertiliser input constitutes an import investment. To optimise returns fertilisers have to be utilised efficiently and judiciously. In view of the many new sources and types of fertilisers in the market and the acute labour shortage currently experienced by the plantation sector in Peninsular Malaysia the paper reviews the various fertiliser types and application methods to optimise fertiliser usage.
