Abstract

Seventy-two heads of castrated bull calves of Kedah-Kelantan x European crosses were distributed to farmers in three villages in Pontian Johor village and tethering system was practised in the other two villages. Average daily gain (ADG) of cattle in the village practising free grazing system was 311 g/head/day while the ADG of cattle in the two villages practising tethering system were 271 and 185 g/head/day. Differences in the ADG between the systems were significant
