Mohd Ghawas Maarof, . and Miswan Joyo, . A quick method of propagating pepper (Piper nigrum L.). pp. 50-54. ISSN 0127-0346
Abstract
The article explains the method of expediting pepper multiplication by using bamboo stem and top soil together with coconut husk as the rooting medium. About 54 two-node rooted cuttings can be obtained from a single plant within a year of planting. The total number of planting materials that can be obtained from this method is much higher than those obtained from the traditional method within the same period of time. The average percentage of the planting materials that survived in the field is 90 percent. This method is useful in accelerating production of planting materials of the new varieties which need to be planted for field experiments
