Abstract
A trawl survey was held as part of the series of research projects of the Matahari Expedition. Among the families of commercially important fish landed in the 14 trawls conducted nine families were dominant in terms of weight. These were Lutjanidae Nemipteridae Synodontidae Priacanthidae Ballistidae Carangidae Mullidae Loliginidae and Sepiidae. The standing stock biomass of the area was estimated to be 2 761.8 tonnes and total catch landed in 13 trawls were 937 kg
