Abstract

Eight species of threadfin bream recorded from the study area constituted about 9.7 of the overall catch. Nemipterus nemurus was the most abundant species and N. delagoe was the least. In terms of size N. tambuloides was the biggest and N. mesoprion was the smallest species. N. bathybus was regarded as a new occurrence in Malaysian waters. The length-weight relationships of various species were presented. The distribution of species in the study area were also discussed
