Law A.T., . and Mohd Kamil Abdul Rashid, . Inorganic nitrogen and phosphate distribution in the South China Sea. -.
Abstract
The distribution and concentrations of inorganic nitrogen and phosphate in the South China Sea were determined during the 1985 Matahari Expedition. Little variation in ammonium nitrate nitrite and phosphate was detected with depth. The levels of ammonium nitrate and nitrite were comparable to the levels reported for other areas except for phosphate which was significantly lower. Phosphate could be a limiting growth nutrient in the South China Sea
