Abstract
Colletotrichum capsici (Syd.) Butler and Bisby was identified as the causal agent of anthracnose fruit rot of chilli (Capsicum annuum L.) in Peninsular Malaysia. This disease presented a serious limitation to fresh chilli production. Symptoms on infected chilli fruits ranged from mild to severe and differences in disease reaction were seen among the ten varieties of chilli inoculated with the fungi
