Abstract
The use of an early supply of P was of great importance in sugarcane production. All P-treated plots outyielded the control significantly both in terms of cane tonnage and sucrose production. However no significant differences in yield were obtained among the three P rates for both rock phosphate and triple superphosphate. This indicated that P rate should not exceed 60 kg P2O5/hectare
