Abstract
Shipment of vegetables for the export market required a suitable method of packaging and transportation as demanded by the importing country. Corrugated fibreboard box was the common method of packaging used in the international market. Other types of packages however could also be considered for specific vegetables. Transportation by conventional lorry cold-truck air-freight and sea-freight depended on the distance and the destination of the vegetables to be exported
