Abro G.H., . Interaction between host plant resistance and two strains of Plutella xylostella (L.). pp. 15-21. ISSN 0126-8643
Abstract
Eight cabbage cultivars differing in their resistance were tested against an insecticide resistant field strain and a susceptible laboratory strain of Plutella xylostella (L.). Irrespective of cabbage cultivar tested field strain P. xylostella had significantly poorer larval and pupal weight longer larval and developmental time and lower (but almost insignificant) per cent survival to adult. It was concluded that allelochemicals present in host plant of P. xylostella did not induce detoxification enzymes.
