Abstract
Infestation of Chinese cabbage planted for seed production by Myzus persicae and Brevicoryne brassicae reduced seed yield significantly. The decrease in yield was due to reduced pods/plant seeds/pod and 1000-seed weight. Chinese cabbage cultivars with greater level of heat tolerance suffered greater yield loss. The earlier the aphid infestation after planting the greater was the yield loss. Aphid infestation of each plant part contributed to seed yield reduction.
