Abstract
The biology and symptoms of damage of the rhinoceros beetle Oryctes rhinoceros L. the potential pest of coconut palm (Cocos nucifera L.) are described. The use of cultural methods naphthalene balls and biocontrol agents under the integrated pest management will be effective in suppressing the pest activity and reducing the losses from coconut.
