Abstract
Group farming system a form of collective farming stresses on co-operation of members in carrying out various activities in farming. Its introduction in the MADA area is to reduce problems associated with padi farming. However its success in alleviating problems varies. Based on these variations this study attempts to examine factors that instill co-operation among members. These factors include leadership credibility group cohesiveness and attitude of members towards group farming. Results from the study indicate that these factors did influence the success of the group farming system.
