Abstract

Leptocorisa is an important insect pest of rice. If it is not properly controlled it can cause considerable yield loss. Integrated management is the best approach in its control. Uniform planting and weed-free field especially from grassy weeds will reduce the initial population of Leptocorisa in the field. Suitable insecticides are then used when these practices fail to reduce the insect population. At the same time corporation among the rice farmers is important to ensure the effectiveness of insecticides.
