Abstract
The importance of food waste treament is highlighted. The types of wastes and suitable treatment methods are briefly discussed. These processes are expensive and if they are not properly emphasized treating waste materials using such technologies could defeat their objectives. For this purpose common treatment processes and a few of the innovative processes that are currently available are described to highlight differences which exist within each treatment method.
