Abstract

Good manufacturing practices (GMP) are general regulations that apply to all food processing establishments. GMP covers general principles that identify potential problem areas of sanitation such as factory surrounding area plant construction equipment and utensils sanitary facilities and controls sanitary operations processes and controls and personnel. Food manufacturers who practice GMP as described in this paper and follow strict quality control procedures would ensure that the food manufactured is of high quality safe wholesome and thereby in conformance with food laws and regulations.
