Abstract
The use of space technology commonly referred to as remote sensing in the land and water management has increased dramatically over the past several years as hardware costs have been reduced and software applications that solve specific needs have been developed. This paper presents the necessary information on remote sensing technology and recalls the importance of land and water management in Malaysia where earth resources are a major socio-economic component. Examples of case studies in land and water management are presented.
