Abstract

The synergistic effect of piperonyl butoxide and DEF was studied for endosulfan diazinon and monocrotophos in Heliothis armigera (Hubner). Endosulfan was synergised around two- four- and sevenfold with the application of PB DEF and PB DEF respectively at LD50 level. The toxicity of diazinon was mildly increased by PB (x2) at LD50 but not by DEF. Both the synergists were however found ineffective in synergising monocrotophos.
