Abstract

The optimum temperature for germination of conidia of Colletotrichum coffeanum strains was between 15 and 25 degrees C. Germination of the conidium started by the formation of a clear pseudoseptum in the centre. Appressoria were formed between 5 and 30 degrees C. High percentage berry infection and active sporulation for all strains was obtained at 15 20 and 25 degrees C.
