Abstract
A cytological study of the cytotypes of Adiantum caudatum from Peninsular Malaysia Sarawak Java and Thailand was carried out and comparison made with counts from published data from India. The study revealed the existence of different ploidy levels (i.e. 2x 3x and 4x) within the species even though no corresponding morphological differences were detected
