134 taxa of pteridophytes are reported for six small areas within the Temengor Forest Reserve Hulu Perak. These represent c.21 percent of the pteridophyte flora of Peninsular Malaysia. The Asplenium grevillei and Microgonium henzianum records are the first for the Flora Malesiana region. In addition several second and third records for Peninsular Malaysia and Malesia were made and a total of eight 'northern elements' distinguished. The indications are that the total pteridophyte flora of the Temengor Forest Reserve and Belum will be very much higher

Abstract
