Abstract

Flavonoids of three Malaysian Goniothalamus were analysed. Acacetin 7-galactoside acacetin 7-glucoside acacetin and luteolin were found in all three Goniothalamus species. Luteolin 7-glucoside was detected in G. andersonii and G. ambrosus. Both G. andersonii and G. macrophyllus produce acacetin 7-rhamnoside. However apigenin 7-glucoside and apigenin 7-rhamnoside were detected G. andersonii and luteolin 7-rhamnoside was only detected in G. macrophyllus.
