H. G. Miller, . and Amir Husni Mohd. Shariff, . Site fertility and its influence on the stocking of diptercarp species in the tropical rain forest of Peninsular Malaysia. pp. 189-201. ISSN 0128-1283
Abstract
Foliar and soil chemical properties of both Pasoh and Tekam Forest Reserves are presented and discussed in relation to dipterocarp species composition diversity and accumulated basal area. Analysis of variance (ANOVA) confirmed the significant difference between two sites in terms of fertility and carrying capacity. This paper also hightlights the care and consideration that the forest manager needs to undertake when carrying out silviculture treatments on fertile soils (volcanic derived soils)
