Abstract

Effects of different frequencies of stimulation with ethephon (2-CEPA ) on yield performance of Hevea brasiliensis (clone RRII 105) were evaluated in tapping blocks under 1/2S d/3 6d/7 system. A five-year study showed sustainable increase in dry rubber yield. Three to five stimulations per year resulted in 18 to 29 increase in yield. DRC did not show any major change due to the stimulation treatments imposed. Tapping panel dryness did not show any increase. Three rounds of stimulation in a year would give sustainable yield increase in clone RRII 105 under 1/2S d/3 6d/7 tapping system.
