Abstract
A concrete Dehumified Air Storage (DHS) godown has been designed and constructed at the National Paddy and Rice Authority (LPN) Senawang Negeri Sembilan [Peninsular Malaysia] site. A dehumified atmosphere of 69.8% R.H. and temperature at 30 deg C. as compared to 80% R.H. and 30 deg C. temperature of outside environment were obtained. A half capacity fact-finding trial showed that the above dehumified atmosphere alone cannot control insect growth and multiplication from initial infestation. A fumigation treatment with methyl bromide at the start of storage is required
