Abstract

This paper discusses the National Food Authority - Southern Philippines Grains Complex experience in controlling the discharge of waste matter into the athmosphere and waste water from the scrubber of the boilers. An anti-pollution control device of the negative cyclone type was used effectively and satisfactorily after a second modification. The waste water from the scrubber undergoes treatment procedure where the ash is separated from the water by natural subsidience and loaded in an open van truck for disposal and the water is recycled back to the scrubber
