Abstract

The paper reports the major findings of a wildlife survey carried out in the Project`s Pilot Area Malaysian-German Sustainable Forest Management and Conservation Project`s (ca. 109 000 ha) in Terengganu. Based on the survey results and the impacts of logging on bio-diversity known so far management prescriptions are presented fo four hierarchical levels (i) for the startegic and policy level (ii) the planning level (forest fuction mapping and subsequent forest zoning) (iii) the organizational level and (iv) the operational level (logging).
