Abstract
This paper described the size location accessibilty climatic features geology flora fauna recreational resources and facilities available within Taman Negara which is the sole National Park in Peninsular Malaysia. It also discussed the national park management systems which included its objectives administration law enforcement interpretive programmes and maintenance of resources. Management systems of other protected areas for threatened and endangered species elephant (Elephas maximus) translocation captive breeding and wildlife research were reviewed.
