Abstract
Studies were conducted on the breeding behavior of the Southern Pied Hornbill at a peat swamp forest in Besout Perak. The elaborate feeding ritual behaviour and daily activities of the male prior to the emergence of the female and juveniles were noted. The external features as well as the activities of the newly emerged female and juveniles were also described.
