Abstract

Newcastle disease is a very important viral disease of poultry. Two main control measures are available namely slaughter combined with quarantine and routine vaccination. Most countries of the world resort to vaccination as a control of Newcastle disease. Types of vaccine virus routes of administration and vaccination programmes employed varies from country to country depending on the requirements and local conditions of each country.
