Abstract

A total of 164 species and 2 varieties in 63 genera and 22 families of mosses are reported for Gunung Jerai in this study. Of these, 103 taxa, 32 genera and 10 families are newly reported for Gunung Jerai. The total number of species reported for the mountain represents 37.92% of the total reported for Peninsular Malaysia. Fissidens firmus Mitt. is reported outside Taman Negara for the first time..
