Abstract
The concentrated potassium soap base CPSB is produced from a mixture of coconut-palm oil and potassium hydroxide solution lye by saponification process. The CPSB is stored for one week to reduce the pH allow completion of the saponification process and for producing stable properties of the products. The product is an environmental-friendly material as well can be used as biodegradable product for controlling soft insects as emulsifier for biopesticide-herbal mixtures and for washing and removing pesticides in fruits and vegetables. The study was conducted for producing diluted CPSB and to determine its physical characteristics for better appearance and viscosity parameters. The CPSB property is too concentrated and it is difficult to solubilize in water during toiletry production and biopesticide preparation in the farms. Thus the diluted CPSBs produced are compared for their properties in terms of colour solid materials pH colour and viscosity.
