Bagan Datoh Perak is well known for its coconut plantations in the Peninsular Malaysia. The coconut industries are currently growing with many having involved coconut in coconut downstream production. Coconuts can produce many types of food and non-food products. The commercial coconut-based products found in the market are coconut milk coconut powders nata de coco coconut jellies coco peat cocolumber kitchen wares cooking oil decorative and bath products. Besides these products coconut can also be diversified to produce cosmetic and nutraceuticals especially from virgin coconut oil VCO.
