Abstract

Macrobrachium rosenbergii is an important aquaculture species; hence a better understanding of reproductive mechanisms and oemoregulatory control in this species is essential in order to improve seed production technology by manipulating females of hatchery origin. This article focuses on our studies on the dynamics of vitellogenin Vg synthesis during ovarian maturation and osmoregulatory control during larval development.
