Abstract
A study onjeldspar resources in Negeri Sembilan covers an area of about 160 km 2. This study was carried out around Gemencheh area that is well-known as a producer of pottery stone in Malaysia The term pottery PCC of stone has been used for a long time in Negeri Sembilan which refers to rocks t hat are used as feldspar RPCCB1-substitute in the ceramic industry mainly in tiles manufacturing. A few aspects that have been take n into account in this study are the pattern of its distribution resenJe lithology and chemical content. Two potential areas of feldspar resources have been identified based on the two years investigation i.e. Bukit Air Kuning and Bukit Tok Sarih. The XRF analysis results show a very high value of flux Na 20 and K20 of four samples i.e. 8.33 0.0967 9.93 and 6.90 The quality of these deposits is better than the existing pottery stone quarries in Negeri SembiLan and almost similar to feldspar resources in Gua Musang Kelantan.
