Abstract

Development of gray leaf spot on Rebel III tall fescue caused by Pyricularia grisea at three temperatures 24 26 and 28C and ten leafwetness durations LWD 4 8 12 16 20 24 28 32 36 and 40 h was evaluated. The effects of temperature and LWD on disease incidence were significant. Temperature and LWD were positively correlated with disease incidence. There were significant interactions between temperature and LWD. The effects of turfgrass age 4 to 11 weeks on disease incidence and disease severity were significant. Both disease incidence and disease severity were negatively correlated with turfgrass age.
