Abstract

The common fungi on the leaves flowers and healthy fruits of engkala were Botryodiplodia theobromae Colletotrichum gloeosporioides. Fusarium sp. and Pestalotiopsis sp.. Except for Pestalotiopsis sp. these fungi were also important species causing fruit rot during storage. Rhizopus stolonifer Phomopsis sp. and Penicillium sp. were not commonly isolated from the leaves flowers or heathy fruits. However they caused substantial damage to the fruit in storage. B. theobromae was the most damaging pathogen of the fruit. It infected about 77 of the total fruit samples. Infected fruits softened and become watery within three days after appearance of the initial symptom.
