Abstract

Bioinformatics and genomics are closely related disciplines that hold great promises for the advancement of research and development in complex systems such as the plants. The role of bioinformatics has since changed from a specialist niche tool to that of an essential institutional technology. High throughout sequencing and advanced technologies have created tremendous demands for the development of powerful supercomputing statistical learning and artificial intelligence approaches to handle the massive bioinformatics and data. This paper will discuss how information technology works in tandem with genomics for efficient research and discoveries.
