Abstract
The flavonoids from flowers of the orchid Oncidium taka were extracted with methanol and the methanol extract was analyzed by HPLC. Kaempferol luteolin petals and myricetin were detected in the yellow part of Oncidium taka petals. These flavonoids were examined at four stages of flower development from the flower bud to fully opened flower. Flavonoids were identified by comparison of each flavonoid with authentic flavonoids.
