Abstract
As land and forest resources become scarcer the virgin jungle reserve VJR network in Peninsular Malaysia will come under increasing needs for social political and economic justifications. In view of this a more positive approach towards the management of the existing and future virgin jungle reserves in the country should be taken and developed. The paper highlights some of the salient points to consider in the management and conservation of the resource in the future.
