In the District of Sik 4 ponds were used namely Sik 1 Sik 2 Sik 3 and Sik 4. 1 pond in the District of Baling namely Baling 1 and 1 pond in FBS namely Jitra 1. Sik 2 and Baling 1 resulted at a loss due to poor management and flooding respectively. When the results are extrapolated to 1 ha. Sik 1 Sik 3 Sik 4 and Jitra 1 managed to produce 1.58 1.41 1.44 and 1.65 tons per crop between 2 - 6 months respectively. 2 crops could be practised annually. On the whole this research may be able to increase the income knowhow on the management aspects of monoculture of udang galah and increase the confidence of those farmers involved as to the viability of the culture. Besides that this research programme may attract the interest of other farmers in the area.
