Abstract

Examination of lethargic fry Clarias batrachus revealed myxosporean spores on the oil smears. Chronic but low mortality was observed. The attached cysts were microscopic in which spores were present. The spores have two polar capsules with a blunt rounded posterior. The microscopic morphology of the myxosporidian cysts on the gills were not hardly described. Grossly attached cysts on the gills were not visible. Spawners were also found to be infested
