Abstract
The aim of this research was to identify the influence of Curcuma xanthorrhiza and the tracheal contraction of guinea pig. Male guinea pigs were divided into four groups group 1the trachea was given 3 with drops of 20 ug/ml acetylcholine concentration 2 the trachea was given with 1 ml dose of 5 percent Curcuma xanthorrhiza infusion 3 the trachea was given with 1 ml dose of 10 percent Curcuma xanthorrhiza infusion and 4 the trachea was given with 1 ml dose of 20 percent Curcuma xanthorrhiza infusion. Observation of tracheal contraction was done in vitro. The result showed that 20 pecent Curcuma xanthorrhiza infusion provided the biggest contraction of tracheal muscle.
