Abstract

Records of 93 cats that were serologically tested for FeLV and FlV in the UVH UPM during the period of January 2007 until October 2009 were examined. It was found that 23 24.7 and 11 11.8 were positive for FeLV antigen and FlV antibodies respectively. Out of those showing signs related to the diseases three 3.2 cats were found positive for both FeLV and FlV. This study supports earlier finding that both FeLV and FlV are prevalent in cat population in Malaysia.
