Kuppan P., . and Arumugam P.T., . (1997) A preliminary study on some physical and chemical parameters in tin mine lake the Mines Resort Malaysia. [Proceedings Paper]
Abstract
The lake at the Mines Resort is being rehabilitated as a theme park and for eco-tourism. Some of the physical and chemical parameters of the lake were studied on a monthly basis from 1992 to 1993. The lake is oligotropic with visibility of 3.7-6.5 m surface temperature and dissolved oxygen of 28.8-31.0 degrees Celcius and 5.8-7.2 mg/L respectively. The pH was slightly alkaline with a surface specific conductance of 400-530 mumhos/cm. The lake is suitable for water sports.
