Abstract
The Malaysian-DANCED Project on Sustainable Management of Peat Swamp Forest in Peninsular was initiated in September 1996 and has duration of three years. It is a bilateral project between the Goverment of Malaysia and Denmark and is implemented by the Forestry Department of Penisular Malaysia and Danish Cooperation for Environmental and Development DANCED. The project is main objective is to ensure that sustained social economic and environmental benefits are accrued from the management of the peat swamp forest PSF. The paper reports on some of the experience gained and benefits den ved from the project.
