Abstract

Serum progesterone oestradiol-17 beta T superscript 3 and T superscript 4 concentrations were found to be significantly p less than 0.01 higher in cyclic cows compared to delayed puberty and postpartum anoestrous cows. The hormonal profiles maintained a basal level throughout the period of study in both delayed puberty and postpartum anoestrous cows. In cycling animals progesterone profile rose and fall in coincidence with growth and regression of corpus luteum since corpus luteum is the source of progesterone in cycling animals.
