Abstract
Indonesia has 80000 small holder dairy farmers averaging only 5 milking cows per farmer and belonging to over 200 milk collection co-operatives. The industry is very fragmented and much can be gained through improved communication and collaboration amongst the numerous key stakeholders. Accordingly a series of strategic planning meetings were undertaken to develop a unified vision for the industry plus action plans to overcome some of the industrys major impediments to progress.
