Abstract
The new trend in the orchid pot plant industry is to have plants with unique characteristics of the wild could be adopted to the hybrid. The prominent deep red lip of the bee orchid Luisia jonesii attract breeders to create new flower form. Crosses were made between this species with two different orchid genera. The lip characteristic has been transformed to the F1 generation of both crosses.
