Abstract

Identification of skull of bats that died naturally in the Dark Cave Batu Caves Selangor West Malaysia revealed the presence of the fruit bat Rousettus leschenaultii. This species was heretofore unknown in West Malaysia. Skull measurements documents its differentiation from R. amplexicaudatus also roosting in Batu Cave.
